Scot Gemmill, Head Coach of Scotland’s Under-21s and Head of Men’s Performance Coaching, will depart the Scottish FA.
A full international who represented his country at both UEFA EURO 1996 and FIFA World Cup 1998 as a player, Gemmill returned to Barclays Hampden in July 2013 as Head of Men’s Performance Coaching.
After spells with the Under-17’s and Under-19s, in September 2016, Gemmill was promoted to the position of Under-21 Head Coach – where he helped numerous young talents on their way to senior squad recognition.
The Scottish FA’s Chief Football Officer, Craig Mulholland, said: “On behalf of the Scottish FA, I’d like to thank Scot for his many years of dedicated service to the game in this country.
“He is held in the highest esteem by those who have worked alongside him, and I know that respect extends to the countless young players who have played under him at the various age levels.
“As a player and coach Scot has represented Scotland with distinction and I know that means a lot to him. We wish him well in his next opportunity.”
